Andra Day will join season two of Disney's Percy Jackson and the Olympians as Athena, the network announced Sunday. Day's Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, is the mother of Annabeth Chase (played Leah Sava Jeffries) in Rick Riordan's wildly popular teen book series.

Oscar-nominated actor Andra Day has been tapped to play Athena, the Greek Goddess of Wisdom and Annabeth’s mom, in the upcoming second season of Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
