The industry minister closed TikTok’s offices in Toronto and Vancouver over security concerns, but Canadians can still download and use the app.

The Canadian government ordered Chinese-owned TikTok's business in the country to be dissolved, citing national-security risks. The Justin Trudeau government said it was not blocking Canadians' access to the short-video app or their ability to create content.

Canada previously banned TikTok from government-issued mobile devices. TikTok has offices in Toronto and Vancouver.
