FARGO, N.D., — Officials in Fargo have identified the two officers who fatally shot an armed man on Wednesday. According to Fargo police, officers were called to a medical assist for a suicidal person inside a home around 11 a.m. When they arrived, they learned the man, identified as 65-year-old Peter Greco, was armed.

A neighbor said Peter Greco, 65, shot and killed by Fargo officers Wednesday, was a military veteran. Police said Greco had placed multiple 911 calls for help prior to the shooting.

The Fargo Police Department is identifying the man officers shot and killed in south Fargo Wednesday, Nov. 13. They are also identifying the officers involved in the shooting. The man who died is 65-year-old Peter Greco of Fargo.
