AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department provided new details about the deadly officer-involved shooting last week. Both of the police chiefs for Austin and Bee Cave held a joint press conference to address the shooting.

Police Chief Lisa Davis scheduled a press conference for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday where she is expected to share more information about the shooting.

AUSTIN, Texas - Austin police are investigating after a man was shot on Rosewood Avenue. Officers responded to the 2600 block of Rosewood Avenue at around 4:30 p.m. on November 7 to a reported shooting. They found 20-year-old Matthew Escalante with a gunshot wound.

The Austin Police Department is investigating after a person was found dead in south Austin Wednesday. APD said on social media it responded to the 7800 block of South First Street, which is near South Congress.

The three officers and one Austin Police Department detective who fired their weapons are on administrative leave.
