Meta is expected to announce the Quest 3S soon. We compare the already available Quest 3 to Meta's expected VR headset.

Meta Connect will air Sept. 25 and 26 from the stage at the company’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California. Meta will (hopefully) reveal exact timing for the event by next week. You can watch it via Facebook or, if you’re all-in on Meta’s vision, through the Horizon Worlds app on a Meta Quest headset.

Keep in mind however, that the Meta Quest 3S is expected to use more energy than the Quest 2 thanks to the higher resolution colour passthrough. It also shouldn't need as much brightness as the Quest 3 though, opting for Fresnel lenses over pancake lenses. All in all, there's a good chance the battery will be similar to the Meta Quest 3.

We see a controller that looks to be the same Touch Plus controller that is available with the Quest 3. It has been suggested that Meta might not ship the headset with the controllers to get to a lower price at retail, but based on this leak, it may come with the Touch Plus controller.
