MIAMI - A tropical storm warning was in effect for all of South Florida Wednesday as Tropical Storm Helene moved on a path toward Florida's Gulf Coast, which the storm is expected to hit as a major hurricane.

School districts on Wednesday notified parents that they’re evaluating whether or not classes will be held Thursday in South Florida. They’re making that decision as the region faces stormy weather due to Hurricane Helene passing to the west on a track toward Florida’s Big Bend region.
