The Tennessee Comptroller’s Office and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) are looking into allegations of government employees surveilling and monitoring audio and video recordings of criminal defense attorneys without their consent. The report says office employees, other building tenants, and visitors were also recorded without knowing.

A state investigation has found that the Nashville District Attorney’s Office secretly recorded criminal defense attorneys, office employees and visitors to the DA’s office.
